Treatment

Each of my clients is unique. I combine therapeutic approaches and evidence-based interventions in creating a treatment plan to meet the needs of each of my clients.

Below are some examples of how I approach different mental health challenges:

  • Deepening your understanding about the influence of past experiences, thoughts, and feelings can help you learn about the roots of your symptoms. Guiding you through mindfulness practices like breathwork and meditation can help you better manage your symptoms. Identifying and modifying unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors can improve your well-being. STAIR trauma treatment can help you process a disturbing experience and restore a sense of safety.

  • I help clients move through adversity and emerge on the other side. If you’ve lost someone or something or are currently navigating illness, disability, or aging, I can help you process loss, learn coping skills, and learn how to move forward (rather than “get over it”). If you’re struggling to figure out how to survive in a world that feels hopeless, disturbing, or sinister, I can suggest strategies to protect your values and your mental health.

  • We’re all connected to other people, whether it’s members of our family of origin, our partners, our friends, or our coworkers. I help clients improve their ability to resolve conflicts with other people. Together we can identify and adjust relational patterns that don’t work for you. I coach clients in poly, kink, or other nontraditional relationships to find and enact solutions for unique situations.

  • I help people figure out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to make progress in getting there. Is it possible to reframe the “stories” you tell yourself about your life in a way that’s more accurate, effective, and self-compassionate? How do your intersecting identities shape your life and your mental health? How can I help you attain clarity about how you want to live your life and what changes will help you in attaining them?
